ABC News is reporting that Arizona Senator John McCain is slowly formalizing a bid for the United States Presidency in 2008 with the soon to be establishment of an exploratory committee. The seventy year old Vietnam Veteran who suffered as a prisoner of war and rose to politics continues to poll at the top of the list of likely Republican candidates.
Recently McCain has lost some of his maverick appeal as he worked closely with the Bush administration. He has always been conservative on many issues including a pro-life stance on abortion, the inclusion of intelligent design in the classroom, and he has continually been a leader against pork-barrel spending and fiscal conservatism.
