It has finally happened, the Internets now have an alternative to Ted Stevens Series of Tubes analogy! Quite possibly my favorite House speech of 2007 so far (I know its early) comes from David Wu (D-Oregon) who likened the administration to Klingons. “Do not let Klingons in the White House” was the Reps brave message. Who should we let in the White House? Wu has a thought on that, why Vulcans of course.

As Homer Simpson once said “When will people learn, democracy doesn’t work!” I might not entirely agree with the sentiment but

Senator John McCain continued to defend the presidents unpopular plan to add troops to Iraq today saying:

“I believe that together these moves will give the Iraqis and Americans the best chance of success,”

Meanwhile Senator Hillary Clinton is joining one time 2008 Candidate Evan Bayh who dropped out of the race several weeks ago before really starting and Rep. John McHugh on a trip to visit Iraq. Clinton said she does not support the Presidents plan.

Republican Governor Mitt Romney who shot into the 2008 Election like a rising bullet as the self proclaimed conservative alternative to John McCain has unfortunetly for the Gov. been falling every since. Questions have been raised about his true conservative credentials on everything from his support of gay marriage to his distancing from support for the Ronald Reagan presidency.

Now video of Romney has hit the Internet potentially causing more problems for the candidate as voters get a chance to see him countering his current stance on the issue of abortion with his past stance .

“I believe that abortion should be safe and legal in this country. I have since the time that my mom took that position when she ran in 1970 as a U.S. Senate candidate. I believe that since Roe v. Wade has been the law for 20 years, that we should sustain and support it. And we should sustain and support that law and the right of a woman to make that choice.”

Democratic Senator from Connecticut Chris Dodd has joined the race for the presidency in 2008.

It has been announced that Denver will host the 2008 Democratic National Convention from Aug. 25-28. The only other option for Democrats was New York City.

Republicans will hold their convention starting September 1st in Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota.
