Lets Call the Whole Thing Off
March 11th, 2007
Well the Nevada Democratic Debate which was to be co-hosted by FOX News and was much maligned by liberals has been cancelled. Not because of John Edwards drop-out but because of the following quote by FOX News Chief Roger Ailes:
“It’s true that Barack Obama is on the move,” Ailes said, deliberately confusing the Illinois senator’s name with that of terrorist leader Osama bin Laden. “I don’t know if it’s true President Bush called [Pakistan President Pervez] Musharraf and said, ‘Why can’t we catch this guy?’ “
As wildly inappropriate and cheap as that joke is in my opinion I still stand by my earlier thoughts that if Dems want to play to people other than their base they are going to need to start embracing FOX.
