Terrible news out of Virginia Tech where a shooter has claimed the lives of too many people and the count is unfortunately still rising. It is a horrible reminder of what evil lurks not just in the world but in our own country and what monumental challenges we face as a society in dealing with crime, murder & madness.

I live outside of a city where every day now there appears to be another murder and where every school day violence seems to flourish. Meanwhile we are fighting a world war against vultures like these who pray on the innocent. We can only send our best wishes and thoughtful hope for the families of these valiant souls and our best hope that we can find ways of ending such cowardly attacks here and around the world.
