Closing the Republican/Democrat Digital Divide

May 21st, 2007

The Washington Post has a story about what is perceived to be a gap between Democratic & Republican uses of the Internet. The point being that the GOP has been slow to move online and is now “playing catch-up”.

Another Republican — Michael Turk, who was in charge of Internet strategy for President Bush’s 2004 campaign — puts the problem his party faces more bluntly: “We’re losing the Web right now.”

The article mentions the first big Republican push Web site hoping to build a real community TechRepublican, which should, of course, be in any electiongeeks RSS reader.
